On the back of 2017’s hugely successful festival, the premier music event for Leeds International Festival have announced their initial line up for 2018, as the festival moves into it’s 11th year.
Live at Leeds will kick start the summer festival season on Saturday 5th May and will be headlined by the likes of Peace, Circa Waves and The Horrors across iconic Leeds’ venues such as Millennium Square, Brudenell Social Club and many more.
Over the years, the festival has acted as a stepping stone for global artists such as Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Bastille and The 1975 as they made their way to the top of the musical pyramid, and this is expected to continue with many of the artists playing at next year’s festival.
Pale Waves have become one of the most talked-about emerging acts in the world, with just three singles released to date, and will be joined by other exciting up and coming acts from BBC’s Sound Of… list such as Tom Walker and Lewis Capaldi.
With over 50 names confirmed in total, Leeds is yet again set to be the defining place for new music fans to witness the next big thing. From Nick J.D Hodgeson, the former drummer of Leeds-based band Kaiser Chiefs who’s embarking on a solo career, to Sons of Raphael, the North London due dubbed the next big thing, they’ll be plenty of talent around the city for you to catch.
