Lumen Art Projects (LAP) will draw on its renowned international artist network to commission a Networked – Digital – Public Art project in the City of Leeds with the festival theme of Generation Future. The commissioned project is to be located in multiple, preferably unexpected, non-traditional, sites around the city.

NETWORKED – DIGITAL – PUBLIC ART aims to push traditional public art into the future. By existing in differing iterations at multiple locations at once this form of public art mimics the interconnected nature of contemporary life. By forming a ‘body’ of nodes that influence each other, Networked – Digital – Public Art allows people to see the stories happening in their public spaces and provide a new understanding of the communities around them that otherwise might remain hidden.

The commissioned artist and details of where their work will be showcased in Leeds will be released soon.
