Experience the largest free music industry event in the North.
Unconference is the largest free music industry event in the North of England. A day of panels, workshops, presentations and networking for those working in, or aspiring to work in the music industry.
Presented as part of Leeds International Festival and Live at Leeds, Unconference is the place to ask, hear, and learn, if you are involved in music at any level and hope to gain a better understanding of the music industries whether as an artist, producer, enthusiast or otherwise. You can come along to Unconference to find out more from leading experts and professionals in a friendly and informative environment.
This years’ event will feature an artists’ provocation and panels presented in-collaboration with Association of Independent Music (AIM) and PRS Foundation, covering subjects such as how to best release new music, music industry life, and how to find the best artist development opportunities.
Our popular Meet the Experts session will return for Leeds International Festival 2019, allowing attendees to book a one-to-one meeting with music industry experts and professionals too. Also returning is the Come Play With Me Selection Panel, which will discuss and debate the worth of tracks submitted prior to the event, judging them for inclusion on an upcoming singles release from the label.
Unconference is delivered by Music:Leeds and supported by Leeds International Festival, Leeds 2023 & Leeds City Council, with public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England and additional event partners: Leeds College of Music, Leeds Beckett University, PRS Foundation and Keychange.
