A trusted voice and face on BBC News and BBC Look North, reporting on some of the biggest stories of the past two decades, Lotty, as she is known by audiences, has a passion for storytelling.
She is also a public speaker, event host and media coach as well as the host of LIFICAST, the official podcast for the Leeds International Festival of Ideas.
