Lisa Holdsworth

A freelance screenwriter and producer based in Leeds, Lisa is Chair of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain.
Starting her TV career as a Production Coordinator for Leeds-based indie Screenhouse Productions, Lisa moved to drama working as Kay Mellor’s PA, before her first screenwriting commission on Mellor’s Fat Friends. She was part of Emmerdale’s writing team and won the RTS Yorkshire Best Writer award for an episodes of New Tricks, as well as writing extensively for TV series including Waterloo Road, Robin Hood, Midsomer Murders, Ackley Bridge, Call the Midwife and All Creatures Great & Small.
She is now currently working as showrunner on her own show for Channel 4.
