Conversations from #LIFI25: Andrew Pain

Interview
September 26, 2025

Our #LIFI25 speaker series continues with Andrew Pain, an award-winning speaker and advocate who uses his platform to challenge stigma and raise awareness around domestic abuse.

Andrew will appear on the “Why do we need to talk about domestic abuse?” panel at this year’s festival, contributing his perspective to a vital and often overlooked conversation. His work highlights the impact of abuse on men as well as women, opening up a broader dialogue about support, recognition, and change.

In this interview, Andrew discusses why silence helps no one, the importance of breaking down stereotypes, and how society can move forward. It’s a powerful preview of the insights he’ll bring to the festival stage this September.

Stay tuned for more conversations with #LIFI25 speakers as we release the series in the run-up to the festival.
