Conversations from #LIFI25: Natasha Rattu

Interview
September 28, 2025

In our latest #LIFI25 speaker series interview, we sit down with Natasha to discuss her work, the urgent need for cultural and systemic change, honour-based abuse and the power of advocacy in giving survivors a voice.

Natasha joins the “Why Do we need to talk about domestic abuse?” panel at this year’s festival, where she’ll bring her legal expertise, campaigning experience, and personal insight to a conversation about community, representation, and what it truly means to belong.

In this interview, Natasha reflects on the challenges of breaking silence, the importance of centring survivors in policy and practice, and why creating space for honest dialogue is vital. It’s a powerful preview of the clarity, passion, and courage she’ll bring to the festival stage in October.
