LIFI making its mark with local advertising award

As we know, LIFI certainly likes to make a statement!
And it’s not only our impressive range of themes, discussion points and speakers which make the headlines. The festival’s bold, unique, and ever-evolving branding is now in the spotlight, having been shortlisted for an Outdoor Media Award.
The festival brings more than hint of pink to the city and beyond with its eye catching branding and that’s been recognised in this year’s Outdoor Media Awards (OMAs) which celebrate the best-of-the-best in outdoor advertising – those that harnessed the power of the poster, showcasing the incredible abilities of the OOH (Out of Home) Industry.
Leeds-based The Ark Media with Leeds International Festival of Ideas are among six finalists on the shortlist for the Local Advertising Award which recognises effective local campaigns delivered by or on behalf of local advertisers based in the same community, town or city as the OOH campaign itself.
LIFI24 saw complete takeovers of Hyde Park corner and lamppost banners around every corner across the city centre to posters across 60 sites including Manchester, Sheffield and main commuter lines into Leeds as well as the new poster wall outside Brudenell Social Club.
Keep everything crossed when the winners are announced at the awards ceremony in London this month.
